Set amongst rolling hills and covering just seven square miles in size, Pleasant Hill is the smallest City on our list but a favorite of many. Centrally located between Highways 680 and 24 along with its numerous Public Transportation options make Pleasant Hill a Commuter friendly city.  Home to top ranked K through 12 schools and one of the top ranked Junior Colleges in the state, Diablo Valley College which is the number one feeder Institution to nearby UC Berkeley. Residents eagerly await the completion of the Oak Park Properties a Public Project which include in part a new Library, Park and Recreation space and more. Its Pedestrian friendly downtown center was revitalized in 2000 and hosts many community events which in turn has created a welcoming sense of community for Pleasant Hills' 30,000+ residents.
